Stafford Sew-Days is a not-for-profit organisation on a mission to get Stafford Sewing!
We run a series of sewing events throughout the year, the most popular of which is the Sewcial Saturday at Dunston Village Hall.
For £20 you can come along and have a whole day's sewing time without all the distractions and disturbances of home. You'll meet like minded people in a very relaxed and friendly environment. We welcome all types of stitching and have dressmakers, quilters, hand-sewers and crocheting. There's an endless supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. There are homemade cakes and the price also includes lunch.
We also have a weekly Dressmaking Club where, as long as you can use a sewing machine, you can come along for help with dressmaking projects. Wendy is a very experienced dressmaker, qualified teacher and can be seen on Sewing Street demonstrating her skills. She can take you from complete beginner to accomplished dressmaker! The sessions are for only 6 people and get booked up quickly. If you don't have a machine you can hire one for £5.
All of our profits are used to fund free sewing workshops for community groups and the general public.
